How to deploy your project on Heroku (Heroku git)

Heroku is a platform as a service (PaaS) that enables developers to build, run, and operate applications entirely in the cloud.

Create Heroku account

Go to login page and create new account.

On the dashboard press New > Create new app

Lets give a name for our first Heroku application

Install the Heroku CLI

The Heroku Command Line Interface (CLI) makes it easy to create and manage your Heroku apps directly from the terminal. It’s an essential part of using Heroku.

macOs

$ brew tap heroku/brew && brew install heroku

Ubuntu 16+

$ sudo snap install --classic heroku

Windows 32-bit

download and install

https://cli-assets.heroku.com/heroku-x86.exe

Windows 64-bit

download and install

https://cli-assets.heroku.com/heroku-x64.exe

Login to Heroku

After open a terminal.

$ heroku login

Press any button for redirecting to login page

Create a new Git repository

Initialize a git repository in a new or existing directory

$ cd my-project/
$ git init
$ heroku git:remote -a my-greatest-app

Deploy your application

Commit your code to the repository and deploy it to Heroku using Git.

$ git add .
$ git commit -am "the first commit"
$ git push heroku master

Checking the result

Lets go to the dashboard, choose your application

Click on the button “Open app” and check the result
